Resident Reminders
NEIGHBORHOOD SECURITY
Our entrance security cameras continue to be an aide in our safe neighborhood; however, please DO report any crime or suspicious activity in the neighborhood to the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) at (502) 574-2111 for a non-emergency or 911 for an emergency.
When reporting a crime or suspicious activity to LMPD, it is important to inform them of our entrance security cameras, and to tell them they can contact Commissioner Michael Adair at (502) 876-4980 for possible video footage which might help them in their investigation.
The speed limit sign is posted at our entrance. The speed limit is 25mph for all streets in the City. Please adhere to this speed limit on all city streets.
Residents, please furnish your contact information to City Clerk Jeanne Keats at [email protected]. It is important for our communication with you as well as for our city security to have residents’ current mailing addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses.

VEHICLE SAFETY AND PARKING
It is a Metro Louisville violation to park vehicles in the grass. Vehicles must be parked on a hard surface. https://louisvilleky.gov/government/codes-regulations/check-it-out-property-maintenance
Please be mindful of your side of the entrance highway. Pulling out too far or moving too far to the left of the mid-point of the entrance road could cause vehicles that are turning into the entrance to be placed at a greater risk.
Please be aware that vehicles parked on the streets of the City of Hills and Dales can impede the line of sight of both vehicles and pedestrians, particularly if more than one vehicle is parked in a row or parked headed in the opposite direction.
Please be diligent about keeping your vehicles locked and if possible, locked in your garages. In addition, make sure that your homes are locked during the day as well as overnight.
If there is ice or snow on the roadways, please move vehicles off the street in order for snow plows to access the roads. To discuss any road issues, please contact Commissioner Bill Bowman: at phone: (502) 609-3870; email at [email protected]
