City Commission Meetings
The City Commission meets on the second Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at 3300 Mt. Rainier Drive, unless otherwise notified. Recent Commission Meeting minutes can be accessed below. Commission Meeting minutes are not posted until they are approved by the Commission and signed by the Mayor.
Kentucky Open Meetings Act
The Kentucky Open Meetings Act allows residents of the community to attend and observe regular Commission meetings. The Commission has established protocols for situations where a resident wishes to speak on a particular issue or issues. The protocols are:
1. After the approval of the minutes, a resident has up to five (5) minutes to speak. If the speaker needs additional time, it will be granted at the Commission’s discretion.
2. After the resident has spoken, the Commission may elect to take a form of action immediately or, if additional time is needed for consideration or research, it may postpone action until a later agenda.
3. After the resident has spoken, he/she may remain at the meeting as an observer or leave at any time.
