Your City Commission recently enacted Animal Control Ordinance 2026-1.  It is posted on this website under City Government/City Ordinances.  Please be sure you are familiar with it.  In addition to our local Animal Ordinance, residents must still comply with Louisville Metro Animal Control regulations.  ​It is the responsibility of the person who experiences an incident with an animal or has a complaint to call Louisville Metro Animal Control.  Please take photos or videos of the situation if possible.

Depending on the situation, a resident may consider contacting the applicable neighbor/pet owner if a pet has become a nuisance.

Press 1 to report an aggressive animal or bite.
Press 2 to report a stray animal.
Press 3 to report a lost or found pet.
Hang up and dial 911 for a life threatening injury.
